Geostellar, a Martinsburg, WV-based provider of an online solar energy platform, closed a $7m financing round.
The round was led by Matador Capital Partners with participation from Select Venture Partners, Panacea Capital, Valentis Capital and angel investors and family offices.
The company intends to use the funds to expand Solar Family, a national program to recruit, train and support independent Solar Professionals.
Led by David Levine, CEO, Geostellar provides an solar energy marketplace, with a patented instant, interactive solar profile that tailors solar equipment, installation and financing plans to meet the needs of each individual household. The company also provides Solar Mojo, an app for the iPhone and iPad, and Solar Family, a social marketing program for its network of independent solar entrepreneurs.
