Dysonics Raises Series A Financing Round

dysonicsDysonics, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of spatial headphone audio technology, raised a Series A financing round of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by Intel Capital, with participation from Rawah Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate research and product development, as well as marketing efforts, and expand commercialization of its core technologies to hardware manufacturers, content creators, and media platforms in markets including music, movies, gaming, virtual reality, augmented reality, and 360 media.

Led by Co-Founder & CTO Robert Dalton Jr., Dysonics emerged from the UC Davis technology incubator (ETTC) to bring to market an innovative 3D audio and motion-tracking technology for headphones. In 2014, the company introduced RondoMotion, a wireless motion sensor for headphones, provides content encoding technology to 12 U.S. and International airlines, giving passengers a cinematic surround sound experience over headphones for select in-flight entertainment features.
In addition to building 360 binaural microphones, it develops software for spatial audio content creation, live broadcasting, and playback.
