Contessa Health, Inc., a Nashville, Tenn.-based provider of episodic risk arrangements and home hospitalization programs, raised $7m in funding.
The round was led by Noro-Moseley Partners, with participation from existing investors BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners, Martin Ventures and Sandbox Advantage Fund, as well as new investors, Nashville Capital Network and the Marshfield Clinic Health System.
The proceeds will enable Contessa Health to further scale operations as it expands into new markets.
Led by Travis Messina, founder and Chief Executive Officer, Contessa Health creates and manages episodic risk arrangements for Commercial and Medicare Advantage health plans. By combining proprietary platform ContradoClaim™ with evidence-based clinical protocols and managed services, the company aims to enable both payers and providers to operate prospective episodic risk programs.
