Baochi Nguyen has joined venture capital firm IDG Ventures as VP of Marketing.
Nguyen, whose expertise spans product marketing, customer acquisition/retention, content marketing, social media, PR/AR, branding, and sales enablement, will lead a number of IDG Ventures’ marketing initiatives, including communications and PR, content strategy, marketing support to portfolio companies, and its C-Suite Advisory Summit events, which bring CMOs and CIOs of large enterprises with founders within and outside the portfolio.
She already acted as VP Marketing for IDG Ventures’ portfolio companies Krux (Data Management Platform, acquired by Salesforce) and SimplyHired (job search engine, acquired by Indeed). Nguyen also worked at RingCentral as Director of Social Strategy, at Boingo Wireless as Social Media Strategist and Product Marketing Manager and OQO, Inc., as Senior Product Marketing Manager.
Led by Alex Rosen, Managing Director, IDG Ventures is an independent, early-stage venture capital firm that invests in consumer internet and enterprise companies. Its typical investment is $2m to $5m per round, with further participation in subsequent private rounds.
