StorageCraft Technology Corp. acquired Gillware Online Backup to expand its existing cloud, recovery and backup platform.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The addition of the technology and its accompanying solution is designed to expand StorageCraft’s global presence and strengthen its research and development team.
Effective immediately, existing Gillware and StorageCraft partners will have full access to the products via the Gillware portal. All products will be available globally via StorageCraft’s partner portal in November.
The Gillware Online Backup solution uses analytics to identify the data that should be backed up and the data that should not. The identification of an intelligent tiered data architecture provides rapid access to mission-critical information at times when it is needed most.
The Gillware team of data experts – led by Wes Gill, Founder and President – will continue to operate out of its office in Madison, Wis.
Founded in 2003 and led by Chairman and CEO Matt Medeiros and CTO Scott Barnes, StorageCraft, provides backup, disaster recovery, system migration and data protection solutions for servers, desktops and laptops.
