Paperclip Raises Six Figure Funding Round

paperclipPaperclip, a Cardiff, UK-based peer-to-peer marketplace app for second-hand goods, raised a six figure pound funding round.

Backers included Finance Wales and a syndicate of Turkish investors led by Emre Fadillioglu, as well as Alan and Juliet Barratt, and Andrej Kuttruf.

The company is using the funds to expand its offering and launch new features, now in development.

Founded by Imperial College London graduates Rich Woolley (28) and Alan Small (29), along with their friend and current SOAS London student Ziad Al-Ziadi (20), the app allows users to buy, sell, swap and give away second-hand goods with nearby users.
