MoneyFarm Receives Strategic Investment from Allianz

moneyfarmMoneyFarm, a Milan and Cagliari, Italy- and London, UK-based online wealth management platform, received a strategic investment from German insurance company Allianz.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. Previously, the company had raised approx. $19m in venture capital from such firms as Cabot Square Capital, United Ventures and Principia.

Founded in March 2011 by Paolo Galvani and Giovanni Daprà, MoneyFarm blends technology and financial services expertise to provide investment independent advisory to small savers.
The company, which has a team of over 60 people in its 3 offices, says its community counts more than 60,000 savers. Beyond Galvani and Daprà, the management also includes Michele Battelli, Chief Product Officer, David Jeffery, Chief Technology Officer, and Alessandro Onano, Chief Marketing Officer.

Members of the Advisory Board are Michael Spence, Meir Statman, Paola Bonomo, James Clark and Paolo Gesess.
