Mobile Banking Startup Zero Raises $2.5M in Seed Funding

zeroZero, a San Francisco, CA-based mobile banking startup, raised $2.5m in seed funding.

The round was led by Eniac Ventures, with participation from New Enterprise Associates, Nyca Partners, Lightbank, and Middleland Capital.

The company is using the funds to continue to develop the platform.

Led by CEO Bryce Galen and COO Joel Washington, Zero offers a mobile app and Visa card that acts like a debit card and comes with varying rewards which gives customers cash back on all purchases. Cash rewards are unlimited and automatically deposited on a monthly basis. Other features include an Intelligent Advisor that forecasts balances, no ATM fees at more than 50,000 locations, and customer support via in-app live chat.
