Fluent City Raises $2.5M in Funding

fluent-city-logoFluent City, a NYC-based experience company and modern day culture school, raised $2.5M in funding.

The round was led by Lerner Investments with participation from Learn Capital, New Ground Ventures, 1776 Ventures, and the founders of EdTech powers 2U, General Assembly, and Noodle.

The company intends to use the funds to further expand its range of courses.

Founded in 2011 and led by CEO James Rohrbach, Fluent City offers courses in 10 languages of varying levels ranging from Spanish to Japanese and is now expanding its programming to include topics in Art & Design, Food & Drink, and Culture & Travel.
Over 20,000 students have participated in courses including cocktail making, interior design, a full-sensory exploration of the country of France.
