dcBLOX Raises $15m in Funding

dcbloxdcBLOX Inc., an Atlanta-based data center services company, raised $15m in funding.

Atalaya Capital Management LP made the investment.

The company will use the funds to update its existing site in the Brookhaven area of Atlanta, and to open a new multi-tenant data center in Chattanooga, Tenn. by Q4 2016. It plans to target data center markets in secondary cities for future locations.

Co-Founded in 2014 by Chief Executive Officer Jake Ring and Chief Technology Officer Joshua Reyneveld, dcBLOX utilizes proprietary enclosure technology to provide virtual and standard data center colocation, and network connectivity services through a high bandwidth private optical network. The service offerings include highly-reliable and secure OpenStack cloud solutions, Managed Services including DRaaS, Backup, and Storage, and professional IT services.
