Ambra Health Secures $6M in Venture Capital Funding

ambraAmbra Health, (fka Dicom Grid) a NYC-based cloud medical image management platform, secured additional $6m in venture capital funding.

The round was led by Canaan Partners.

The company, which has now raised $39M in total funding, plans to use the new funds to ramp up sales and marketing efforts and accelerate product development.

Led by Morris Panner, CEO, and Ed Marshall, Chief Product Officer, Ambra Health provides a SaaS-based medical data and image management platform for large health systems such as the Mayo Clinic, Stanford Children’s Hospital and Memorial Hermann as well as radiology practices, subspecialty practices and clinical research organizations to improve imaging and collaborative care workflows.
The company’s solution is used by over 750 healthcare providers.

Ambra has also launched Think RADical, an advisory series of in-person and online events designed to allow healthcare leaders to drive innovation in medical imaging to transform patient care. The first of these Think RADical events will be held in New York City on September 29, 2016.
