Wakestream Ventures, a Grand Rapids, MI-based seed and early stage venture capital firm, has launched.
Created as a spin off of Start Garden, West Michigan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, the vc firm will be led by Rick DeVos as CEO making early stage investments with a focus on high-growth technology, hardware-software convergence and e-commerce enablement.
The venture capital fund, which was launched in 2012 as the investment arm of Start Garden, will now separate its funds from any public or foundational support, led by Kim Pasquino and Mike DeVries, who will serve as chief investment officers.
The deal size now ranges from $100K–300K in initial investment with follow on commitments for 2nd and 3rd rounds up to $1.5M cumulative.
