Food Tech Company Innit Raises $18M in Funding

innit_logoInnit, a Redwood City, Calif.-based food tech company, raised $18m in funding.

The company, which has raised a total of $43m, intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth.

Founded in 2013 by Eugenio Minvielle, president, Innit leverages a team of chefs, nutritionists and engineers, who use food science and technology to support people in managing and preparing food. The Innit platform identifies and measures food using advanced technologies in the kitchen, recommends recipes based on inventory and executes expert cooking techniques through connected kitchen appliances.
The company recently announced partnerships with Good Housekeeping, Pirch and Whirlpool Corporation to enable advanced automated cooking on their kitchen appliances, starting with Jenn-Air® brand WiFi connected wall ovens.
