Zype, a NYC-based cloud video distribution service for OTT, raised $2m in additional seed funding.
The seed round, closed with a final amount of $3.6m, was led by Revel Partners with participation from Point Nine Capital, Alpine Meridian Ventures, Berlin Ventures, Entrepreneurs Investment Fund, and Terrapin Bale Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds for research and development, as well as sales and marketing initiatives.
Launched in 2014 by Ed Laczynski, CEO, and also led by AJ Vernet, Chief Revenue Officer, Zype provides cloud video distribution service for OTT featuring push button app publishing, monetization, streaming, audience management, and analytics.
The company, which serves content owners including Mill Creek Entertainment, What’s Trending, and The Rebel Media, also has offices in Los Angeles.
