Camino Financial, a Los Angeles, CA-based online credit marketplace focused on extending small business loans to Hispanic-owned businesses, raised $2m in equity financing.
The round was led by Collaborative Fund and Hunt Holdings LP, with participation from Comcast Ventures Catalyst Fund and Impact America Fund, among other angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to ramp up its sales and marketing efforts, and build out its tech infrastructure.
Led by Sean Salas, Chief Executive Officer, and his brother Kenny Salas, Camino Financial specializes in originating loans for Hispanic-owned small businesses seeking an alternative capital source to a bank. The company, which also counsels its clients to improve their business credit and lower their interest rate, raised $750k in seed capital in Nov. 2015 by institutional and angel investors.
