section.io, a Boulder, Colorado- and and Sydney, Australia-based platform for website engineers to control the delivery of their web application, closed a $1.5m seed funding round.
Backers included Techstars Ventures, Tahoma Ventures, Blue Note Ventures, Galvanize Ventures, PV Ventures, Venture Blue and various angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform and expand operations.
Led by CEO Stewart McGrath, section.io provides a content delivery network platform for agile teams to build applications which are CDN aware and where every app code deploy will work harmoniously with the configuration of the CDN.
The platform also provides a real time metrics and logging platform (Graphite, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash) providing teams with the same logs and metrics in Dev, Test and Prod environments.
