Redis Labs, the Mountain View, CA-based company behind Redis database, raised $14m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures and Carmel Ventures with participation from other existing investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand sales and marketing efforts to accelerate global customer acquisition.
Founded in 2011 by Ofer Bengal and Yiftach Shoolman, Redis Labs is the open source home and commercial provider of NoSQL Redis database and Redis Labs Enterprise Cluster (RLEC), downloadable software that supports and enhances on-premises enterprise deployments with use cases including real-time analytics, fast high-volume transactions, in-app social functionality, application job management, queuing and caching.
Redis Labs serves such customers as Groupon, TD Bank, Verizon, Hipchat, DBS, RingCentral, Twitch, Menards and flydubai and other 6,200 enterprise customers.
