NearIT, a Bergamo, Italy-based proximity marketing startup, raised €1.5m in funding.
The round – led by Innowatio (which has taken a 15% stake in NearIT) – brought the post-money valuation of the company to €10m.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations in Italy and abroad developing solutions for available both iOS and Android.
Led by Luca Locatelli, CEO, and Michel Capitanio, CTO, NearIT allows stores, museums, commercial centers, fairs, and events to create proximity marketing campaigns and create engagement experiences via customized messages, push notifications, coupons, collect points and analyze the results of their initiatives.
The company currently has 15 people.
