Mobile App for Work Teams Shyft Technologies Raises $1.5M in Seed Funding

shyftShyft Technologies, a Seattle-based provider of a mobile app for work teams, raised $1.5m in seed funding.

Backers included Madrona Venture Group and angels Heather Redman, Russell Okung, Edgar Martinez, and T.A. McCann.

The company will use the funds to continue to expand operations.

Led by Brett Patrontasch, founder and CEO, Daniel Chen, Kyle Liu, and Chris Pitchford, Shyft provides a mobile app that connects tens of thousands of shift workers based on their employer and location so they can trade and cover shifts. In the last 3 months, the company has grown their user base by 400%, with more than 26,000 hours of work traded through the Shyft app.

The company is a Seattle Techstars 2016 graduate.
