Mist, a Mountain View, CA-based enterprise wireless technology startup, received a strategic investment from Cisco Investments.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Founded in 2014 by Cisco veterans Sujai Hajela, CEO; Bob Friday, CTO; and Brett Galloway, Chairman, Mist provides virtual Bluetooth Low Energy (vBLE™) beacon and wireless machine learning technology for organizations in retail, healthcare, hospitality, technology, higher education and more, as well as leading managed service providers, etc., to deliver mobile experiences at web scale.
This company, which is also backed by Norwest Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, will use the funds to advance its technology and grow its business.
