LawnGuru, an Ann Arbor, Mich.-based on-demand marketplace for lawn mowing and snow removal services, closed a $1m seed funding.
The round was led by Sierra Wasatch Capital with participation from Canyon Creek Capital, Briggs and Stratton and Sequoia Capital’s scout program.
The company intends to use the funds for national growth, research and development, and recruitment of sales, customer service, and marketing staff.
Co-founded by Brandon Bertrang and Skye Durrant, LawnGuru provides on-demand lawn care and snow removal services, ordered through web and mobile applications. The platform connects consumers with local outdoor service providers to take care of their lawn and snow removal needs within hours of each request.
