HireHand Raises Angel Funding from Wild Blue Cohort Members

HireHandHireHand, a London, UK-based on-demand staffing platform for small businesses, raised funding from members of Wild Blue Cohort, a business angel investor network.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The company will use the funds to expand operations.

Led by founder and CEO Scott Erwin, HireHand provides an internet-based service to matche small businesses in need of shift-based support at short notice with a talented pool of assessed individuals for such positions as front of house, grill chef, food prep, cuisine chef, event staff and kitchen porter.
The company also has a social mission, with some of its talent pool coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, and counting as its referral partners organizations such as Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, The Prince’s Trust, Fight for Peace and Thames Reach.
