Furniture & Home Design iOS App Homee Raises $5M in Series A Funding

homeeHomee, a West Hollywood, CA-based furniture and home design iOS app, raised $5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Founders Fund. It brought total funding raised to date to $7.2m including previously undisclosed seed funding from Sean Rad, Ben Silverman, Stephen Oskoui, Bill Lee, David Wyler, FF Angel, Foundation Capital, and Scooter and Yael Braun, among other prominent angel investors. In conjunction with the funding, Sean Rad (Founder & CEO of Tinder) and Stephen Oskoui (Venture Partner at Founders Fund) joined Homee’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the team.

Founded in 2015, by Beatrice Fischel-Bock, Madeline Fraser, Lizzie Grover, Ben Broca, and Ethan Gromet, Homee is a furniture and home design technology company that allows users to furnish their home by curating a personalized space through an iOS shopping app. The company, which has 25 employees, leverages conversational commerce and artificial intelligence to instantly connect people with a design expert who will design a room and select furniture that matches a personal style and budget.
