Black Swan Data Ltd, a London, UK-based data science and tech company, secured £6.2m in Series B funding.
Albion Ventures join initial institutional investors Blackstone and Mitsui (as we already covered in March 2016).
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate international growth and expansion of its product platform and complete the build out of its senior management team.
Founded in 2011 by Steve King (CEO) and Hugo Amos (CSO), Black Swan provides a proprietary software platform, The Nest, which gives brands access to customer insights by linking publicly available data to a customer’s private data and understand them to make business changes.
The company, which services its international client base including PepsiCo, Vodafone, Samsung, Disney and Panasonic, among others, through offices in Bristol, Exeter, Hungary, Los Angeles, New York, Singapore, South Africa and Toronto, currently has over 240 full time employees.
