User Behavior Analytics Platform Amplitude Raises $15M in Series B Funding

amplitudeAmplitude, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of a user behavior analytics platform for mobile and web, raised $15m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Battery Ventures with participation from existing investors Benchmark, Data Collective, Merus Capital and Quest Venture Partners.

The company, has raised $26M to date, intends to use the funds to hire new people, to continue product development of its analytics platform, and expand sales and marketing. In conjunction with the funding, Neeraj Agrawal, General Partner at Battery Ventures, will join Amplitude’s board of directors.

Founded in 2012 by Spenser Skates, CEO, Amplitude provides Amplitude Analytics™, a Built on Nova platform which gives companies access to user behavior analytics for mobile and web to pinpoint and act in order to reach better retention, engagement, and conversion results.
The company serves more than 150 enterprise customers including Square, Instacart, LogMeIn, Yik Yak, Intuit, etc.
