Social Football App Tonsser Raises €1.8M in Venture Capital

tonsserTonsser, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based social football platform for youth players, raised €1.8m in venture capital funding.

Backers included Wellington Partners, Seed Capital Denmark, and angels.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations globally, firstly in Germany and UK. It is hiring for various roles.

Founded by Peter Holm, Simon Hjære, Jeppe Curth and Jonas Spott Christensen, Tonsser is developing a social football platform for aspiring footballers
to showcase their achievements.
The Android and iPhone app, which allows players to keep track of their football career, prepare for upcoming matches, win weekly awards and get discovered by scouts, has been downloaded by over 100k users in Denmark, Norway, Sveden, Spain, Italy and France.
