Saudi Arabia-Based Startup Nomadd Receives Closes $1M Series A Funding

Nomadd (NO-water Mechanical Automated Dusting Device), a Thuwal, Saudi Arabia-based startup developing a smart and ecological desert solar panel cleaning system, recently closed a $1m Series A funding.

The Kaust (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) Innovation Fund provided the funding.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to establish its presence in Saudi Arabia, hire key staff and carry out testing activities with potential customers.

Developed at Kaust by Georg Eitelhuber, founder and current CTO, and led by Jos van der Hyden, CEO, Nomadd is a smart and ecological desert solar panel cleaning system which already obtained IP protection.
