Private Equity Firm Transom Capital Closes Second Fund, at $133M

TRANSOM-LOGOTransom Capital Group, a Los Angeles, CA-based operationally-focused private equity firm, closed its second fund, at $133m.

Transom Capital Fund II, L.P., which was raised in partnership with leading institutional investors, will employ the same investment philosophy of the firm’s first fund, focusing on investing in, restructuring, monitoring and growing lower-middle-market businesses across multiple industries for the long-term.

Led by managing partners and co-founders Russ Roenick and Ken Firtel, Managing Partner Ty Schultz, and Principal James Oh, the firm leverages hands-on approach to partnership and a proprietary value creation process dubbed ARMOR℠ (Acquisition, Restructuring, Monitoring & Operations, and Return) that provide operational involvement and support to each portfolio company without overwhelming the management team.

Transom Capital also has an additional office in Seattle, WA.
