Archie Comic Publications, Inc., a New York-based mass market comic book publisher, received working capital and growth financing from Veritas Financial Partners.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to consolidate its current publishing operations as well as expansd and diversify into various media segments.
Led by Jon Goldwater, Chief Executive Officer, Archie Comics is a mass market comic book publisher featuring humor, action-adventure and superhero characters in entertainment, including Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica, Josie and the Pussycats, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and the Dark Circle Comics.
Archie Comics have sold over 2 billion issues worldwide, and its characters have been featured prominently in animation, television, film and music.
