BlackFin Capital Partners Launches €120M Fintech Venture Capital Fund

logo-blackfinInvestment firm BlackFin Capital Partners is launching a €120m venture capital fund, focusing on FinTech opportunities across Europe.

The fund will focus on the FinTech space including all aspects of banking, payments, wealth and asset-management, brokerage, insurance, insurance distribution, financial software and technology, technology related to regulatory requirements, financial media, etc.

BlackFin, which is expecting to finalize a 1st closing in Q4 2016 and a final Closing in Q1 2017, will partner with entrepreneurs at all investment stages, from seed to late-stage rounds providing them with support regarding their strategy and growth, commercial access, credibility, and regulatory guidance.

Led by founding partners Laurent Bouyoux, Eric May, Bruno Rostain and Paul Mizrahi, BlackFin launched two generations of growth-equity financial services funds including €220m Fund I raised in 2011 and €400m Fund II raised in 2016, which have completed transactions in France, Germany, Italy, the Benelux and Switzerland.

The firm, which is based in Brussels, Belgium, and Paris, France, is now hiring half a dozen professionals by the end of 2016.
