Agtech Company Chromatin Buys Sorghum Seed Supplier Kirkland Seed

ChromatinAgriculture technology company Chromatin acquired Kirkland Seed Inc., a Vega, Texas-based sorghum seed supplier.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Led by Lester Kirkland, Kirkland Seed provides forage sorghum seed to growers and distributors in North America.

The acquisition will enable Chromatin to further expand its sales and operating network.

Led by Daphne Preuss, CEO, and Ken Thompson, Director of Plant Operations, Chromatin provides growers and producers with sorghum seeds which bring crop’s rapid maturation, and tolerance to heat, cold and drought.
The company is based in Chicago, Illinois, and New Deal, Texas.
