Mosaicoon, a Palermo, Italy-based collaboration platform for the management of online video campaigns based on marketing performance, closed an €8m Series B venture capital funding round.
Backers included a group of family offices and entrepreneurs. In conjunction with the funding, Silvia Candiani, General Manager of Microsoft GCC for Central Eastern Europe, Salvatore Giammarresi, Head Of Globalization Paypal and Maurizio Nicolis di Robilant, President and founder of RobilantAssociati, joined the company’s board.
The company intends to use the funds for development of its proprietary technological platform while extending its international expansion.
Founded in 2010 by CEO Ugo Parodi Giusino, Mosaicoon provides a platform that enables creatives and brands to scale video production and manage video campaigns from initial campaign objectives through the creative stage to the tracking of the final marketing results.
The company, which has branches in London, Madrid, Milan, New Dehli, Rome, Seoul and Singapore, previously raised seed money from Vertis Venture in 2010 and a Series A round of €2.4m from Vertis and Atlante Ventures Mezzogiorno (Intesa Sanpaolo Group) in 2012.
