Vee24, a Boston, MA-based live video assistance solution, closed on an $8.5m Series B financing round.
The round was led by Ascent Venture Partners, with participation from current investors Data Point Capital and Point Judith Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Geoffrey Oblak, General Partner at Ascent Venture Partners, joined Vee24’s the board.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its client base and further develop its technology.
Led by newly appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Priya Iyer, Vee24 provides a live customer engagement solution that allows businesses across multiple browsers to interact face-to-face with their customers without requiring a download.
The product features voice, video, text and co-browsing for web, mobile, and kiosk-based customer engagements.
Customers include Audi, DFS, Schuh, Samsung, Comcast and Mattress Firm.
The company has European operations in Manchester, England.
