Bone Solutions Inc. (BSI), a Dallas, Texas-based orthobiologics technology company, closed a $1.7m funding round.
The company also has an additional $1.65m in committed funding from Next Health LLC.
Led by president and CEO Drew Diaz, and Chairman and CTO Thomas Lally, Bone Solutions is to launch its new magnesium-based bone void filler product, OsteoCrete™, which has been cleared by the FDA for long-bone and general orthopedic applications.
OsteoCrete is resorbable, or capable of being assimilated back into the body, as it is replaced with bone as the patient heals. It is also injectable, moldable, osteoconductive and nontoxic.
