Mobile App Development Platform Buddybuild Raises $7.6M in Series A Funding

buddybuild-logoBuddybuild, a Vancouver, Canada-based mobile app development platform, raised $7.6m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers with participation from existing investors Amplify Partners, Bloomberg Beta and First Round Capital.

The company will use the funds to continue to grow operations.

Launched in October 2015 by Dennis Pilarinos, CEO, Buddybuild provides a continuous integration and delivery platform for mobile applications. The solution aims to improve the mobile app development workflow featuring continuous integration, continuous delivery, user feedback and crash reporting.

In addition to the funding, the company is announcing the launch of a Instant Replay, which aims to allow developers to watch a video replay of their users’ interactions with their app in the moments leading up to a crash, answering the common question amongst development teams – “how did that happen?” – by showing the exact set of steps needed to reproduce the crash a user experienced.

Lastly, buddybuild is also announcing a new integration with Atlassian Bitbucket Pipelines, a continuous integration service built for web applications.
