e.ventures Launches £175M Venture Capital Fund

eventuresGlobal venture capital firm e.ventures has launched a new fund. 

According to a regulatory form filed with the SEC, e.ventures US V, LP, has already held a $60m close.

The final target of the fund dedicated to the US has been fixed at $175m.

Led by Mathias Schilling, Thomas Gieselmann, Christian Leybold, Andreas Haug, Luis Hanemann and Christian Miele, e.ventures tipically invests $500k to $30m in Internet and software companies. Founded in 1998 as BV Capital and rebranded in 2012 as e.ventures, the firm has 82 companies in portfolio and other 28 exited (figures from the web site). It has offices in Sao Paulo, San Francisco, Hamburg, Berlin, Tokyo and Beijing.
