Bullpen Capital to Raise $75M VC Fund

Bullpen Capital, a Menlo Park, CA-based early-stage venture capital firm, is raising a new fund.

According to a regulatory form filed with the SEC, the firm is seeking $75m for Bullpen Capital III, L.P. The document lists Paul Martino (CEO and founder of Aggregate Knowledge), Duncan Davidson (Founder of Covad, Managing Director at VantagePoint), and Eric Wiesen as people related to the offering.

Led by Martino, Davidson, Wiesen, Richard Melmon, General Partner, and James Conlon, Partner, Bullpen invests in post-seed companies that have achieved product-market fit, that have strong existing angel and microVC investors, but still need time (within a 12-month period) before taking on a larger investment.
The firm has invested in 47 companies exiting 8 of them.
