Bayshore Networks Raises $6.6M in Series A Funding

bayshorenetworksBayshore Networks, a provider of cloud software to protect Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) enterprises against Internet-based cyber attacks, raised $6.6m in Series A funding.

Backers included Trident Capital Cybersecurity and existing angel investors. In conjunction with the funding, Alberto Yépez, managing director of Trident Capital Cybersecurity, will join Bayshore’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to complete the relocation of its headquarters from New York City to Bethesda, Maryland, invest in R&D and in the expand its engineering and sales teams.

Founded in 2012 and led by Mike Dager, CEO, Bayshore provides a cloud-based software platform – called the Bayshore IT/OT Gateway – which provides IT departments with visibility into OT (Operational Technology) infrastructure, networks, applications, machines and workers and gives them the ability to provide security enforcement and application segmentation and isolation via flexible policies.

The company has strategic alliances with leading technology companies including AT&T, BAE Systems, Cisco Systems, and VMware.
