Adobe Acquires Livefyre

Adobe (Nasdaq:ADBE) is to acquire Livefyre, a San Francisco, CA-based content curation and audience engagement company.

The terms of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition will enable Adobe to integrate Livefyre into Adobe Experience Manager and allow customers to collect, curate and publish user generated content from major social networks into digital experiences across a brand’s owned marketing channels.
Livefyre will be part of Adobe Experience Manager and integrated across Adobe Marketing Cloud to make user generated content available across all eight digital marketing solutions.

Founded in 2009 by Jordan Kretchmer, CEO, Livefyre gives brands and publishers access to billions of pieces of user generated content that can be streamed in real-time right to their sites, ads, emails, TV, digital billboards, and apps. The company is now powering real-time content marketing experiences for over 1,500 brands including CBS, Cisco Systems, Conde Nast, Cox Media Group, CNN, Dow Jones/WSJ, FedEx, Hallmark, Intel, Mashable, Motorola, NASCAR, the PGA Tour, and Universal Music Group. Livefyre is backed by Adobe Systems, Salesforce Ventures, Greycroft, and U.S. Venture Partners.
