SkySafe Raises $3M in Seed Funding

skysafeSkySafe, a San Diego, CA-based startup that is building drone management technologies to allow operators to take control of malicious or reckless drones, raised $3m in seed funding.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Founder Collective and SV Angel.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop its platform and expand operations.

Led by CEO Grant Jordan, SkySafe provides advanced technology to protect people and places against drone threats. The company’s tools aim to let facilities properly control and protect their airspace via a system that detects, identifies, tracks, and takes action when needed. Applications include such facilities as airports, prisons, stadiums, or critical infrastructure in order to secure the area, allowing the safe operation of authorized drones and stopping dangerous ones.
