Plattar Raises AUS$1.1M in Seed Funding

plattarPlattar, a Melbourne, Australia-based startup that is advancing an augmented reality development platform, raised AUS$1.1m in seed funding.

The investment was led by News Corp Australia with participation from additional private investors.

The company will use the funds to launch its private beta and add developers as well as project managers.

Led by CEO Rupert Deans, Plattar is advancing a cloud-based platform that allows pubishers, companies and agencies to create, manage, and distribute AR content (images, videos, live streams, etc.) on physical things which can then be watched via mobile devices.
