BioBeats, a Berkeley, CA-based provider of a wellness analytics platform and apps, raised $2.28m in seed funding.
The round was led by White Cloud Capital, with participation from AXA Strategic Ventures and IQ Capital.
Co-founded by Nadeem Kassam, Davide Morelli, and David Plans, BioBeats provides a machine learning dashboard that collects and delivers biometric data about the wellbeing of employees and patients in real-time to employers and healthcare providers. The solution, which integrates with HR systems and productivity suites, is currently running pilot programs both in U.K. and U.S.
The mobile application, Hear and Now (currently available on iTunes), produces audiovisual feedback and guided breathing adapting in real-time to data from wrist-worn wearables to coach the user in managing stress.
