Propel Raises $4.2M Series A Financing

propel_logoPropel, a San Jose, CA-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution provider built on Salesforce, raised a $4.2m Series A financing round.

The round was led by Cloud Apps Capital Partners, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and SignalFire. In conjunction with the funding, Matt Holleran from Cloud Apps Capital Partners will join Propel’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to increase its sales and marketing efforts, as well as accelerate development of its cloud PLM solution for manufacturers.

Led by Ray Hein, CEO, Ron Hess, Chief Technology Officer, and Brian Sohmers, Chief Product Officer, Propel has created a customer-centric PLM solution built on Salesforce, which allows everyone involved in launching new products—including engineers, software developers, sales channels and partners—to coordinate all the product, customer and service information needed. Manufacturers of all sizes can capture customer requests, collaborate on the content that defines modern products, and ensure customers embrace products after purchase.
