Pieces Technologies Raises $21.6M in Series A Funding

pieces_LOGOPieces Technologies, a Dallas, TX-based startup that deploys technology to improve clinical and community health outcomes, raised $21.6m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Pacific Advantage Capital (PAC Partners) and Jump Capital with participation from Children’s Health (Dallas), Order of Saint Francis Healthcare System (Peoria, IL), PCCI and select Dallas investors, among others.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.

Co-founded by Ruben Amarasingham, M.D., CEO, Pieces Tech provides integrated monitoring, prediction, workflow optimization, and organizational learning services and software to hospitals, health systems, and community based organizations to identify and prevent adverse events, such as avoidable mortality and re-hospitalization for chronic diseases and illnesses.
In addition, the company offers cloud-based software for community-based organizations to manage all of their client needs and to connect to hospitals’ information systems to provide a holistic view of patients and their healthcare needs.

The Pieces’ platform was incubated at the Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation (PCCI), a scientific research and development nonprofit corporation in Dallas.
