Next Insurance Raises $13M in Seed Funding

Next Insurance, a Palo Alto, CA-based developer of a solution for small businesses to find insurance online, raised $13m in seed funding.

Backers included Zeev Ventures, TLV Partners and Ribbit Capital.

The company is using the funds to build its team and launch its first product in the spring.

Co-founded by Guy Goldstein (CEO), Nissim Tapiro, and Alon Huri, which all come from mobile payments company Check (acquired by Intuit in 2014 for nearly $400m), Next Insurance aims to disrupt the ($1 trillion) US insurance market providing small business owners with a solution to get their insurance online, via an online and transparent process, overcoming the hurdles of a still archaic and complicated process, which primarily work with insurance agents at brick-and-mortar establishments.
Next Insurance will be available on mobile and desktop.
