Sgrouples, Inc., the Mountain View, CA-based developer of MeWe, a social network with neither ads nor tracking, raised $3m in funding.
The round brought the total amount raised to date to $4.8m and a $20m company valuation.
The company intends to use the funds to expand use ot the social network among millennials globally.
Led by Mark Weinstein, Founder and CEO, MeWe is a social network and chat app that emphasizes social sharing with no ads and no tracking, including a custom camera, disappearing content, next-gen voice messaging, secret chat with encryption, personal social cloud, multiple/custom group profiles, private and open groups, animated GIFs, 700+ emojis etc.
