Future Finance Raises £119M in Funding

futurefinanceFuture Finance, a Dublin, Ireland-based fintech student lender, raised £119m in funding.

Backers included QED Investors, Blackstone Strategic Opportunity Fund, Colchis Capital, Invus Opportunities, KCK, DW Partners, Fenway Summer Ventures, Ridge Road Partners, 1/0 Capital and others.

The company, which has raised £185m in total, will use the funds for growth and lending capital.

Led by Brian Norton, Chief Executive Officer, Future Finance provides tailored loans to undergraduates and postgraduates at universities across the UK to cover tuition fees and living expenses leveraging proprietary lending platform, which users factors such as continuation, employability and earnings into lending decisions.
Future Finance has lent nearly £25m since launch in May 2014 partnering with 33 universities across the UK.
