The Bouqs Company Raises $12M in Series B Funding

Bouqs_LogoThe Bouqs Company, a Venice, CA-based flower retailer delivering from farms in South America, raised $12m in Series B funding.

Backers included Quest Venture Partners, Azure Capital Partners and KEC Ventures, Enspire Capital and Draper Associates, among others.

The company, which has raised just under $20m to date, intends to use the funds to further invest in its proprietary supply chain technology, expand its farm and florist networks, grow the team and launch a new native app.

Co-founded in 2012 by John Tabis, Founder and CEO, and Juan Pablo Montufar, Bouqs.com delivers flowers from an eco-friendly network of farms in the US, Ecuador, Colombia and Costa Rica to consumers, florists, brides and businesses nationwide. A local artisan florist network service delivers custom-designed floral arrangements the same day complementing subscription services for monthly deliveries and special occasions.
The company, which is also led by COO Carter Gaffney and CMO Jarred Goldberg, has nearly 40 employees and operations to Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
