Terbium Labs Raises $6.4M in Series A Financing

TerbiumLabs_LogoTerbium Labs, a Baltimore, MD-based provider of private, automated data intelligence system, raised $6.4m in Series A financing.

The round was led by .406 Ventures.

The company, which has raised $9.7min total, intends to use the capital to expand its team and accelerate enterprise sales of Matchlight.

Led by Danny Rogers, Co-Founder and CEO, Matchlight is a Dark Web data intelligence platform capable of finding compromised or stolen data as soon as it appears. Built upon a massive Dark Web search engine designed to constantly scan for stolen and sensitive data, the system allows organizations to discover quickly when a compromise has occurred and take action, minimizing the damage, loss, and risk caused by a data breach.

Launched in June of 2015, Matchlight employs a patented data fingerprinting technology that creates a one-way digital signature of any type of data, enabling companies to automatically search for its sensitive information without revealing it to anyone. If a trace of an organization’s data appears, Matchlight notifies the information security team so they can identify the breach and set a response and recovery plan in motion.
