Qiming Venture Partners Seeks to Raise $620M Fund

qimingvp-logoChinese venture capital firm Qiming Venture Partners is seeking to raise a new $620m fund.

According to a regulatory filing with the SEC, Qiming Venture Partners V, L.P., lists Nisa Leung, Duane Kuang, Bo Xu Hu, Gary Rieschel and JP Gan as people related to the offering. No funds have been raised to date.

Founded in 2006, Qiming has backed over 160 companies across China in the internet and consumer, healthcare, information technology and clean technology sectors. The list of backed companies includes Meitu, Dianping, Xiaomi, Wacai, Mogujie, Tutorgroup, Gan & Lee, Zai Lab, Guahao, Berry Genomics, Tigermed, Face++ and Xiaoyi. Over 30 of them are listed on NYSE, NASDAQ, HKEx, Gretai Securities Market, Shanghai Stock Exchange, and Shenzhen Stock Exchange or achieved exit through M&A.
The firm, which has offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou and Hong Kong, currently manages five US Dollar funds and three RMB funds with over US$2.3 billion assets under management.
